The adapter fits on 351M/400 engines.
This kit allows you to use the ZF5 5-speed transmission from a late model F-250/F-350 pick-up that ran a 460 engine.
We machine the 351M/400 flywheel to use the 460 clutch kit if you choose to send in a flywheel.
Use an SBF starter for the A/T.
Ring gear engagement if using OE type starter: %50-%75
Ring gear engagement is using a gear reduction starter: %50-%75 (try for %50 if possible)
Ship us your flywheel to convert if you select.
- Labor to convert customer flywheel, resurfaced & new ring gear installed and CNC drilled and tapped to accept the 460 clutch kit.
- Ball-bearing pilot bearing installed into the adapter
- ARP pressure plate bolts & washers (included with flywheel machining)
