Assembled Valve Stem Height

In grinding valves, material is removed from both the valve and the valve seat (A). Thus the valve stem (B) extends deeper into the head. This results in less rocker arm movement, less pushrod travel and less hydraulic valve lifter plunger (C) clearance.
